SUPPORT THE CHILDREN

How to help

Sponsorship  - monthly costs per child:

Food £30        School Fees £25          Healthcare £5

Sponsoring some or all of a child's care provides a reliable monthly income.  This is invaluable and allows us to plan ahead with funding for life-sustaining projects to ensure the future viability of this wonderful orphanage. Tel 07866 200672 or

Email Aid4Rojo@aol.com for further information.

Donating outgrown kids clothes and shoes, educational books, pencils, crayons, paper, games etc.  We visit the orphanage regularly and can fill 4 large suitcases to take out with us.

Schools we have several schools involved in fundraising and corresponding with the children.  They all thoroughly enjoy the experience of exchanging letters and learning about their different countries and cultures.

Stalls selling Maasai crafts:  beaded leatherwork, kikoys, carved animals, wooden bowls and spoons, baskets, jewellery and painted birds of East Africa.  For the past four years Ludlow Town Council have given us a stall on their market every Monday with all proceeds from the sale of these items going direct to the orphanage.  If you woud be interested in running your own stall at a school event, fete, market or fair do please contact us for more information.

Coffee mornings - we can provide videos for watching on the day and posters and literature for your guests to take home.

Latest project

Irrigation

A new 10,000 litre tank has been installed and the irrigation network expanded producing a good crop of vegatables this year.  It is an ongoing expense and we will need to expand the irrigation further in order to grow enough produce to have some left over to sell and start generating an income for the orphanage.

Fundraising events there have been many wonderful events including a handmade quilt raffle, piano concert, bridge drives, opera galas, bike ride from Shrewsbury to Madrid, sponsored half marathon and our most recent a sponsored 100 mile walk across the South Downs - see fundraising page.
